 Doug Davidson should have celebrated 45 years with Y&R today. His first tape day was May 15, 1978. He was a wonderful Paul Williams for over 42 years. Fans never forget.

No Y&R50 without Doug Davidson

There are a lot of promos and articles about Y&R's upcoming 50th anniversary these days. Let's tell TPTB and the other actors of the show it would be wrong to celebrate it without Doug Davidson. This wonderfully talented Emmy winner devoted over 42 years of his professional life to Y&R and the show has always meant a lot to him.

 Here are a few things we can do:

 On July 3 in Genoa City. Paul in the police station, with Heather, Avery, Ronan and Nina. It was 10 years ago. Doug Davidson won an Emmy Award, as Lead actor for his work in Ricky's storyline.

After over 42 years in The Young and the Restless, Paul vanished without an explanation. He was last seen on November 19, 2020.

Doug Davidson left the show with no thank you and no gratitude for everything he has done on and for the show.

On Friday November 19, 2021, let's all tweet with the hashtag #TeamDougDavidson to show our love to Doug Davidson and our disapproval of the way Y&R treated him.

Classless, shocking, disrespectful, unfair and unforgivable. Here are the words that come to my mind when I think of the way Y&R has treated its longest-running cast member.

"You know, trashing my lead detective isn't the smartest play". Here were Paul/Doug Davidson's last words. It was on November 19, 2020. Missing for four months! Gone without an explanation! Gone with no acknoledgement for everything he has done on and for Y&R for over 42 years!

Let's show our dismay by tweeting as often as we can with the hashtags #BringBackDougDavidson and/or #ShameOnYouYR, especially as replies to @YandR_CBS's promos. Please remember that using the hashtags is important.

Watching today's episode felt like "coming home". I loved this episode, Paul & Lauren together--always my favorite couple! Plus we got to see Mary and Carl, Andy and Amy! The Williams Family deserves a classic week of their own too! I wish YR was as good now as it was then!
